2. International GATE Exam Center 2023
GATE exam is not only conducted in India but also internationally. The application fee differs forapplyingto the international GATE exam centers 2023. International exam centers in various countries include:
- Addis Ababa (Ethiopia)
- Colombo (Sri Lanka)

- Dubai (UAE)

- Valid passport/ Government authorized ID/ College ID will be accepted for identification.
- For international universities, concessions are not applicable for SC/ ST/ PWD categories.
- The exam timings will be based on their local time, and they will be notified to the candidates much earlier.

3. How to Select the Exam Center
Candidates can select exam centers while filling out the GATE application form.They can choose a minimum of three exam centers during the application process. Some important instructionsfor selecting the examination centers are listed below in detail:
- You can choose three examination cities from the given list in the above table. The first and second preferences will be from the same GATE zone.
- If you choose a particular city as a first preference, then you should select the second preference from that zone.
- The third preference can be taken from any GATE zone.
- The candidate's exam centers will be based on the first application, the first allotment process.
- Due to the operational constraints, the GATE offices add a new center or remove the existing centers and fix the center, which may not be your choice.
- Complete all the details asked at the exam centers and make the payment process.
- Registered candidates can download their GATE admit card, which details the exam center with the specific date and time of the exam.
4. The Process to Change the GATE Exam Center
The applicants can request a change in the exam center through the application form. Visit the official website and pay a certain amount before the last date. Every candidate must clearly mention why they need to change the exam center.
- The additional payment mode will be accepted only via the online method.
- The payment you need to pay is INR 400 against the exam center change.
