#### 1. What is GATE 2023 Electrical Engineering Syllabus?

IIT Kanpur will release the syllabus for the GATE 2023 Electrical Engineering paper along with the official brochure. The syllabus is divided into 11 sections, and we have briefly listed the topics. The sections include:

Generally, the Engineering Mathematics and General Aptitude sections are common for all the GATE exams, despite their major. The marking scheme for the General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Electrical Engineering sections includes 15, 13, and 72 marks.

#### 2. GATE 2023 Electrical Engineering Syllabus

There are two mandatory sections in the GATE 2023 Electrical Engineering paper, which are General Aptitude and Engineering Mathematics.

###### 2.1 Engineering Mathematics

The engineering mathematics section of the GATE EE syllabus includes 7 topics. Candidates can briefly check the details below.

Complex variables Cauchy's integral formula, Analytic functions, Residue theorem, Taylor series, Solution integrals, and Laurent series.
Numerical Methods Single and Multi-step methods for differential equations, Solutions to nonlinear algebraic equations.
Transform Theory Laplace Transform, Fourier Transform, and z-Transform.
